Aylesbury Theatre
This new theatre project (by Arts Team/ RHWL) which completed in October 2010 is the catalyst for a wider master-plan scheme for the Aylesbury town centre.
During his employment at Arts Team, RSA director – Miles Griffies – was instrumental in his role throughout the project as project architect and Contract Administrator.
The design of the theatre provides an adaptable main auditorium space with a 1200 seated capacity, and 1800 standing capacity. A second multi-purpose space is capable of seating 250 people.
A curved glazed facade with rhythmic vertical Larch fins wraps around the main auditorium box to form the theatre foyers.
RSA were appointed to carry out the theatre external works package which completes in 2011.
